Dr. Anthony Dallmann-Jones, The Editor and Designer of Fixing Public Education was a contributor and editor of the 2010 Educating for Human Greatness book. He has 40 years of experience as teacher, professor and school administrator, and is author of 11 books, including Shadow Children ~ Understanding Education’s #1 Problem. He has assisted in developing faculty in over 100 schools on differentiation, stress management and working effectively with at-risk kids in schools. Dr. Dallmann-Jones recently keynoted education conferences in Moscow, Singapore and the United States. He is a professor of differentiated instruction and alternative learning at Marian University, north of Milwaukee and online.
Angela Engel is the Co-Founder, and Executive Director of Uniting 4 Kids. She is the acclaimed author of Seeds of Tomorrow: Solutions for Improving our Children’s Education. Angela earned a masters degree in curriculum and instruction and has spent the past twenty years in teaching and administration. In 2008 she led the Children’s Action Agenda, organizing children’s advocacy groups from around Colorado on a common legislative platform. Most recently she designed the “50 State Resolution” to end No Child Left Behind and authored legislation to reduce high-stakes testing, protect parental rights, and improve prevention and early intervention services for low-income children. She is a veteran facilitator for the Family Leadership Training Institute. Prior to teaching, she founded a mentoring and tutoring program for at-risk children and lives in Colorado with her two daughters Grace, 16, and Sophie, 14.
Lynn Stoddard is a veteran educator with 36 years as a teacher and elementary school principal. He retired “early” to promote a different philosophy of education in which parents and teachers unite to help students grow in seven major dimensions or powers of human greatness: Identity, Inquiry, Interaction, Initiative, Imagination, Intuition and Integrity. Stoddard’s trailblazing book, Educating for Human Greatness, advocates a shift from standardizing students to valuing and fostering their positive human differences.
Frank Kros, JD, MSW, is a career child advocate, who has served as a childcare worker, child abuse investigator, children’s home administrator, consultant, college professor, attorney, writer and speaker. Certified in applied educational neuroscience, Frank currently serves as president of The Upside Down Organization and executive vice president of The Children’s Guild, a multi-service children’s organization headquartered in Maryland.
Frank joined The Children’s Guild as vice president of programs in 2000 and became executive vice president in 2002. Prior to arriving at The Guild, Mr. Kros practiced law with Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps in San Diego, California, where his practice focused on children’s issues. He also has served as vice president for curriculum and training at Children’s Square U.S.A. in Council Bluffs, Iowa; as a child abuse service officer for the Douglas County Juvenile Court in Omaha, Nebraska; and as a family teacher at Father Flanagan’s Boy’s Home (Boy’s Town).
In addition to lecturing nationwide, he co-authored the books Creating the Upside Down Organization: Transforming Staff to Save Troubled Children (2005) and The Upside Down Organization: Reinventing Group Care (2008).
Frank received his law degree magna cum laude in 1993 from Notre Dame Law School, where he served on the Notre Dame Law Review. He also holds a master’s degree in social work from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Creighton University.
Dr. Ryan Champeau is a School Change Coach with the Center for Secondary School Redesign, Inc. He is among a team of authors that framed the high school improvement publication, Breaking Ranks II, published in February 2004 and distributed to every high school principal in the United States through a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He works with secondary schools creating personalized school cultures and teaching practices that honor student interests linked to real world applications.
Ryan helped increase learning and cultural results in diverse schools from challenged public schools in large urban centers, to charter schools, career academies and high achieving private institutions. Ryan’s expertise spans work with policy-makers at the state and national levels along with individual districts and schools.
Ryan was honored as the 2009 Wisconsin High School Principal of the Year. In addition to his successful experience in diverse learning environments he is the author of articles on effective school leadership practices and a contributor to other publications, including the best seller, Failure is Not an Option, by Alan Blankstein. He has taught graduate courses at the University of Wisconsin – Madison and at Wisconsin’s Marian University. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. Ryan’s passion is helping make schools great for kids.

Marcus Gentry, also known as Dr. Respect, is an internationally respected lecturer, freelance writer and Transition Strategist who because of his experience as a professional actor and vocalist creates learning environments that leads his audiences to a conscious awakening through Socratic reasoning.
Since arriving in Chicago in 1976, Marcus Gentry has developed a longstanding reputation for effectively working with challenging youth in the inner city as well as many of the surrounding suburbs. His experience includes, but is not limited to, working in a locked facility for violently aggressive adolescents, several alternative schools where he created groups called SADA (students against drug abuse), program development and implementation for youth in CHA (Chicago Housing Authority) and the HACC (Housing Authority County of Cook). Mr. Gentry continues to operate as a consultant and mentor for youth training and leadership programs nationwide.
Marcus Gentry is the founder of A Mastermind Creation – a service organization that uses creative empowerment strategies while teaching the application of universal principles. Marcus travels extensively, taking his messages of empowerment and respect as a global initiative around the world through keynotes, workshops and interviews.
Dr. Respect’s latest project is the completion of his forthcoming book “The Way of Respect” scheduled for release in the summer of 2014.
Dr. Sue Stoddart is an educator and life-long learner, and is the Dean of the School of Education at Marian University in Wisconsin. A middle school and high school special education and educational technology teacher for 10 years and associate professor in higher education for the past 14 years, Sue has a passion to see all students reach their greatest potential.
Her professional goal is to equip the next generation of classroom teachers with the knowledge, skills and dispositions they need to make their future students life-long learners. Sue is a graduate of The Ohio State University and was born, raised, and currently lives in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
Dr. Steve Parese began his career as an educator and counselor of troubled youth in 1985. Since leaving his teaching position at the George Washington University, he has traveled the US and Asia as a highly sought-after speaker and technical consultant. Steve is the author of two popular crisis intervention training programs: Therapeutic Aggression Control Techniques (TACT2) and Therapeutic Behavior Management (TBM) for Schools. He and his wife Carolyn live north of Winston-Salem, NC, in the small mountain town of Danbury, NC (population 128).
Laura Lindberg began working for the Kaukauna Area School District in 1994. During the summer she is an adjunct professor of graduate courses for the Wisconsin alternative education licensure at Concordia University. Her advocacy work for at-risk students is passionate and empowered by her involvement with the Youth At-risk Consortium in Appleton, WI, NARENWICH (National At-risk Education Network Wisconsin Chapter), and NAREN (National At-risk Education Network). Laura earned her Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and her Master of Education Degree a Marian University-Fond Du Lac. She resides in Combined Locks, Wisconsin with her soul mate Keith, and they are the proud parents of Dillon, Leslie, and Zachery.
